Gingerberry - An all-ages comic series

An all-ages comic series currently in development. As of right now, only one chapter has been published, a Proof-of-Concept chapter that introduces the characters. More hopefully to come! Written and Illustrated by Avery Nakashima.

Characters

• Joan Gingerberry: A mostly anti-social young woman whom struggles with her anxieties of being an adult. Her family life has been difficult, and instead finds companionship with her childhood friends; stuffed animal dolls brought to life through magic. It is in her friends that she’ll find the courage to be strong.

• Roy: Joan’s best friend. A loving, thoughtful, rabbit, who always considers the well being of others before himself. His heart is pure and empathetic, and cares for Joan deeply.

• Ike: Foxes are known to be Clever, sly, and sneaky, but not this one. Ike doesn’t like anything unexpected and definitely doesn’t like to create disturbances. He is easily frightened and will stay out of the way of others. He often wants to do the right thing, but lacks the confidence to trust in himself.

• Mel: An excitable, adventurous, and mischievous cat. Mel doesn’t always think before she acts, she is careless, which often gets her into trouble. She likes to go on adventures, solve mysteries, and place herself into the business of others.

• Edi: (Also known as Edison) A moody Owl who acts with logic and reason. He does his best to keep the others in check, including Joan.
